Craig y Nos Castle is a popular Wedding Venue holding 85-95 weddings each year.
Each wedding is exclusive to the couple and no other wedding or big event is held in any of the function rooms on the same day.
Most weddings are also exclusive use for the accommodation. This means other B&B guests are generally unable to stay on a wedding day because we are fully booked.
Our B&B deals for vacationing B&B guests mainly operate mid-week Sunday to Thursday, when there is no wedding scheduled.
We have two main wedding packages:
The couple pay nothing for the venue if they organise full use of all the accommodation.
The Wedding Breakfast and Welcome Drinks Package, including use of three main rooms for the wedding, comes to £50 per guest (2017-2020).
The Deal is then much the same, £50 per guest (2017-2020) and free exclusive use of the wedding venue.
There are variations on the Members Wedding Package for lower numbers.
We also offer mid-week wedding packages and late weddings deals for last minute weddings bookings.
The Castle benefits from many excellent photo opportunities both inside and outside in the grounds and neighbouring Craig y Nos Country Park.
It is one of the few venues in South Wales where exclusive use is a feature of the wedding deal, as many venues will have more than one function on the same day.
All the wedding guests can sleep under the same roof instead of having to find accommodation elsewhere.
This means guests can 'rock into the night', partying till the early hours, without having to worry about driving home - in keeping with the Welsh name of the castle, 'Craig y Nos' (meaning Rock of the Night).
Our en-suites can sleep up to 64 guests if full use is made of all the family rooms, while the non en-suites can sleep a further 21 guests.
The main reason why the castle is so popular with wedding couples is because we are a castle - the bride becomes the fairy princess in her own castle for the day, with no one else, no other bride, no other guests apart from her own, on the premises.
Exclusive use allows the couple to decorate the venue as they wish, making the castle truly 'theirs' for the day.
The distinctive Opera House which is used as the wedding ceremony room, provides a real wow factor for arriving wedding guests, as does the front facade of the castle as guests drive into the courtyard.
The Conservatory, used as the day room for the three hour Wedding Breakfast, is kept locked until it is time for guests to move in.
Here the fantastic views over the Brecon Beacons give guests another reason to go 'wow' - not just at the table settings, decorations, lights and even bunting that may be chosen by the bride, but by the room as a whole, with its panoramic feature length windows overlooking the Brecon Beacons National Park.
